VPI Jungle Theme

I can't even BEGIN to tell you how insane things have been...seriously.

I haven't crafted in about a month. Lots of reasons, but for now, suffice it to say that while I'm not necessarily going to go all out, I'm TRYING to ease back into things. A bulging disc in my neck and lower left lumbar is driving me mad and sitting is miserable, as is standing. So when I tell you it took a WEEK to do these 3 ATC's, you know I'm not kidding.

This is for VPI Jungle Theme. Safari was on my mind. The top is my fave. I forced my teenage son, Blake, to accommodate my wishes to surround it with a wooden dowel I stained with ink. I'm not able to do the sawing, so I walked him through using a miter box and between the both of us, we accomplished it.

I'm sorry this post is lacking in humor, but I have now reached my maximum of sitting, so I'm back to pace the downstairs until I sit again. Sigh.

  1. Carmen, I'm sorry you're hurting. I've been missing you and I've been wondering if you were okay. I hope you are feeling better soon. I've been going through some medical testing the last two weeks so I can sympathize with your pain. Get well soon. I'm thinking of you.........

  2. So sorry about your pain. How awful and hopefully it will go away soon. Love, love, love your ATC's! I'm still in awe of your fussy cutting, SO much of it and your talent for design using different elements!

  3. They say that misery loves company. So here walks in misery. Please take care of yourself. Your health and well being is far more important. Just know that you are missed and that we will wait patiently for your return. I know and can relate to your pain. It hurts to sit, then it hurts to stand, then it hurts to walk and all you want to do it sit but then it hurts. Love, love the ATC's and that you were able to create them is amazing in itself.

  4. OMG, I saved these to my Pinterest ATCs board...they are fabulous! I belong to the VPI group, but haven't joined a swap in ages. I need to fix that right away! I hope you are feeling ever so much better...I remember laughing snidely when my mom used to say "If you don't have health, nothing else matters". The ignorance of youth...and yes, Karma got me!
